During surgery, more than 60,000 people domestically each year experience "anesthetical awareness," a condition when anesthesia fails during surgery, leaving one completely conscious and feeling every incision, but paralyzed and incapable of doing anything about it. This is what happens to Clay.
At first, I did not know what to expect from this movie but in the end, it turns out to be a fantastic movie. The plot is pretty solid, character development isn't cluttered and the acting is excellent. Hayden Christensen and Jessica Alba gave more than above average performances. They are both smoking hot together. Terrence Howard and Lena Olin both gives convincing performances. Awake is a finely executed crafty little thriller. A well done directorial effort from Joby Harold. Awake is still pretty scary film with a lot of suspense. Highly recommended!
